You know those meters people used to put on their MSN nicknames in highschool? They were lame then and still lame now. I suppose that makes MSN meters a perfect analogy to the progression of my life since highschool… but I digress…
Here is how my week has gone down:
I think I have unintentionally uncovered a cause-and-effect relationship here.
And just for shits and giggles:
Here to bring you a little cheer to your crappy Tuesday:
This is arguably the only scene in any anime where the dubbed version is better than the original.
P.S. Leadja’s DAEBAK-ness: [||||||||||]
Because I am back and will be posting like there is no tomorrow.
After what may have been the most horrendous week of my university career, I am still alive and well…. just barely.
After having written 3 exams in 24 hours.. and having not slept in two whole days, I could seriously feel my health deteriorate day after day. It was a terrible feeling. Never again. Unless Waterloo decides to hammer me from behind again.
So I finished all my exams today… (HALLLEJUAH) and decided to go shopping with one of my friends from Waterloo. Unfortunately, I’m also on a ban, so shopping was essentially torture. But I figured, it being Waterloo, there wouldn’t be many things I’d want anyway.
But I was wrong. So wrong.
It’s always like that though, whenever you go shopping looking to buy a lot of stuff you never do, but the second you don’t have money, it’s like even Walmart is carrying couture.
In an attempt to not spend any money, I told my friend to forbid me from spending any money. This has always been summer job for my friends. Unfortunately, they’ve had very little success…
First, in typical university girl fashion, we dropped by Aritzia to get ripped off. I saw a boyfriend blazer in the store window and got all excited… unfortunately it was the last one in the entire store and in a size 10. Boo.
Also in Aritzia, I saw the Mackage jacket taunting me =____=, AND REAL LEATHER leggings! They were $98 and I was seriously tempted. You know how I feel about anything with chains, leather and studs. REAL LEATHER. MY DREAM.
I’m still contemplating about those, Yay or Nay friends?
Also, I managed to see this chunky knit cardigan which I think would be great for spring ^^
Speaking of tank tops, I went over to Jean Machine and saw this Balmain inspired tank top. To be honest, I haven’t wanted something this bad in a long time, BUT I had to respect the fashion ban and VERY VERY reluctantly put it down. Some of you may be shocked. Tis true, I have never put something down. size medium, loveyoulongtime.
We also took a stop over at Danier Leather and there I fell in love for the second time lol. But the lady wouldn’t allow me to take pictures in the store so I don’t have a pic of the motorcycle jacket. But it was SOOO badass. And also half price. =(
After Danier, we took a stop over at Aldo Accessories, and unfortunately the necklace that I had been eyeing was the only one NOT on sale. -_____-
Here are some of the cuter pieces I looked at:
I love these Chanel-esque head bands. So pretty, if this came in gunmetal… Now that would’ve been a real test.
Believe it or not, if I put all my clothing together, most of my clothing is from AE and then a close second place would be Aritzia. I never really thought about how much stuff I actually owned from AE until I actually counted; in retrospect it’s probably not that surprising considering I only wear cardigans and tank tops all the time.
Saw this cute tank top on sale at AE, comes in blue and black ^^
Hope you guys are done exams too!
If not, just PLOUGH through them and show ’em whose boss!
Best of luck!!
(I’ve always wanted to do that.)
For the past couple of weeks I’ve been watching Entourage.
I know it feels strange to talk about something that isn’t Korean entertainment related. I gave up on American television a long time ago because it never gave me the impression that I should take it seriously.
So, I was very skeptical about this show. I just thought it was a show about a celebrity and his extravagant lifestyle banging girls with monster boobies and a crap load of stoner jokes (which I detest). But seeing that it was five seasons strong I thought it must have substance so, I decided to give it a shot after my friend Philip told me to watch it.
And I have to admit, I absolutely love this show. It is like Sex and the City but with testosterone. It’s light but it has it’s rough moments. Although, I will admit that the plot becomes increasingly more serious than Sex and the City.
(I thought about writing a synopsis of the show here, but I didn’t feel like I could do it justice.)
I think this show is underrated and I think everyone should give it a shot.
For those who do watch Entourage, I’m curious as to who your favourite character is. Mine is Ari. I fucking love Ari.
School has been absolutely monkeys this past week with all my midterms. This week has just felt like one very long day due to the lack of sleep, I’m sure a feeling we’re all aware of. Needless to say I was a real hot mess.
Earlier this week, I also checked out my exam schedule. Bitches be crazy. Two on April 21st, one on the 22nd and another one on the 23rd. Who makes these things?!
Also, it has been a long journey but I have finally found a place in Waterloo where I will say that the food is good. (That was some amazing Gamja Tang, and potatoes n______________n I had today…) I went to Seoul Soul once during my first year and have not been back until now, turns out it’s true, what you were looking for was right where you left.
I’ll leave you guys with a commercial my prof showed in class today as we were talking about nicotine addiction.
I will be back with a proper post tmr. ^^
Yesterday, I dropped by Krishna’s place to pay him a visit. He tried many-a-time to explain to me what Rings and Fields were. I many-a-time did not understand. I left something in your fridge, please remind me to pick it up.
I don’t know about the rest of you but the holiday pounds are my enemy. You know what I’m talking about, when your jeans get suspiciously tight after a week of pigging out and lazing around in sweatpants.
So as soon as I got to Krishna’s house I threw off my jeans and changed into one of his. Much to my delight and disappointment, his pants fit me. And everything was fantastic until I got curious and wondered if Krishna could fit into my jeans (skinny) which are pretty much tight… EVERYWHERE.
A part of me tried to reassure myself that there was no way a man could fit into them.
That part of me is always so cruel, sadistic and traitorous. (READ CHUBBY BUDDIES).
Fierce, Krishna. Fierce.
This is like the only photo that turned out because I was shaking from laughter. Mostly because Krishna is so anti-fashion.
This one is classic for those that frequent jean forums ~___^ . I kind of wanted him to try the Baby J pose, but thought that might be too stressful for a straight man.
To add insult to injury Krishna managed to utter out:
